Paralume is an AI-powered writing coaching platform. The Service provides real-time writing guidance, document management, and structured feedback. Paralume does not write content for you — it provides suggestions and coaching to help you improve your own writing.

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or submit through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant Paralume a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. You are solely responsible for Your Content and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service • Use the Service to generate spam, malware, or misleading content • Share your account credentials with others • Circumvent any usage limits or access controls

The coaching suggestions provided by Paralume are generated by AI and are intended as guidance only. They may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to follow any suggestion. Paralume is not a substitute for professional editing, academic advising, or legal counsel.

Paralume is designed to coach your writing, not to write for you. Every word in your document is your own. However, you are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with your institution's academic integrity policies. Paralume does not guarantee that your institution will consider AI-assisted coaching acceptable.

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Paralume and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paralume and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
